Chief Anthony Colón serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 55th Communications Group, Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. He is the principle advisor to the commander on all issues affecting the health, morale, quality of life, readiness, management, effective utilization and professional development of 390 military and civilian personnel, who enable airborne reconnaissance and nuclear deterrence operations in the command’s largest wing, United States Strategic Command, and 52 mission partners. Chief Colón is also the Functional Manager for Offutt’s Cyber professionals responsible for a wide array of computer systems and base communications services for 9,000 daily customers.
Chief Colón entered the Air Force in October 2003, as a Computer, Network, Switching and Cryptographic Apprentice. Since then, he has supported a variety of different missions sets including network infrastructure, long haul communications, frequency and spectrum management, Remotely Piloted Aircraft communications, Professional Military Education Instructor and Cyber Defense Operator.
