Colonel David C. Leaumont

Col. David C. Leaumont is the Commander of the 95th Wing and the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. As the 95th WG/CC he oversees the 253d Command and Control Group, 1st Airborne Command Control Squadron, 595th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 595th Strategic Communications Squadron, 610th Command and Control Squadron and the 625th Strategic Operations Squadron. As the NAOC/CC he commands and exercises operational control of a 70-member alert force on the E-4B aircraft, providing national level command and control. In these commands, he is responsible for providing the President, Secretary of Defense, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff survivable command and control capabilities of global military forces across the entire threat spectrum.

Col. Leaumont graduated from The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina, Class of 1996, and was commissioned through Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama in 2002. He graduated from Joint Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training at Randolph AFB, Texas and was operationally assigned to the B-52H, at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. He deployed to United States Central Command where he served as Wing Weapons Officer for 11 major weapons systems, including the F-22, F-15 C/E, KC-10/135, RQ-4, and U-2. Col. Leaumont has also served as the Chief Speechwriter for Air Force Global Strike Command; Commander, 2d Operations Support Squadron, and Assistant Deputy Director for Nuclear and Homeland Defense Operations, Joint Staff J-36. Prior to his current position, Col. Leaumont was previously the Commander, 595 CACG and NAOC.
