55th Mission Support Group 55th Mission Support Group

The 55th Mission Support Group provides vital mission support for Offutt Air Force Base through engineering, security, mission support, services, supply, transportation, contracting and deployment readiness programs.

In addition, the 55th MSG supports over 40,000 active duty, civilian, family member and retiree personnel and over 93 associate units, including U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Weather Agency, National Airborne Operations Center and presidential-tasked global reconnaissance missions.

tab55th Force Support Squadron 
The 55th Force Support Squadron consists of five flights and one professional development center. Each flight is dedicated to supporting ACC's largest Wing and a 54,000 person military/retiree community with quality service. The squadron also provides administrative support to personnel assigned to the Wing Staff and the position of Career Assistance Advisor

tab55th Security Forces Squadron 
The 55th Security Forces Squadron, located at Bldg #160, 198 Butler Blvd, protects and defends Offutt Air Force Base personnel and resources which include the Airborne National Command Post, four Presidential support aircraft and other C3 platforms valued over $9.1billion, through the application of weapons systems security; police services; combat arms; information, industrial, and personnel security; military working dogs; air base defense; and antiterrorism operations 24 hours a day/seven days a week. 

The unit encompasses three installation entry points, a Visitor Control Center, law enforcement patrols, flight line security, an investigative branch, Combat Arms Training and the wing antiterrorism office. Members of the unit conduct law enforcement and community policing functions throughout the base and the Offutt Military Family Housing community. This includes enforcing all speed limits and rules of the road. 

The SAC Gate Visitors Control Center, is located just outside of SAC Gate you may register your vehicle, AF Form 75 Visitor/Vehicle Pass, obtain a DD Form 1934/Geneva Convention Cards, and AF Form 354’s for Government employees and dependents. Security Forces Pass and registration is located on the southeast corner of the Commissary, and provides services for obtaining a restricted area badge, vehicle registration, and out-processing.
tabLogistics Distribution Division 
The Logistics Distribution Division provides critical Supply and Transportation support to the 55th Wing and Offutt assigned units. The division is composed of approximately 100 Federal Civil Service employees and was formed under an A-76 Contracting Out competition. The division has two organizational units: Supply Services and Transportation Services.

Transportation Services is the single point of contact for all transportation planning and operations at Offutt. The unit consists of four sections: Vehicle Operations, Vehicle Maintenance, Household Goods, and Combat Readiness/Passenger Travel. Besides operating and repairing vehicles, the squadron handles all personal property, passenger travel, vehicle fleet management, and airlift.

Supply Services provides supply support to the Wing and associate units. The aircraft parts store provides 24/5 coverage for response to maintenance demands. A special support section provides accountability and support for a number of unique systems on the aircraft. Customer service provides a liaison with the Combat Air Forces Logistic Support Center located at Langley AFB, Va. The readiness section provides for support of individuals deploying by outfitting them with MOBAGS, weapons and individual body armor. Tracking of hazardous materials is provided by the HAZMART section.
tab55th Civil Engineer Squadron 

The 55th Civil Engineer Squadron is compromised of approximately 320-personnel in a Most Efficient Organization. The squadron provides ACC's largest flying wing with engineering, environmental compliance, family housing, facility and infrastructure maintenance, emergency management, and fire protection for 4 National Airborne Operations Center and 27 RC/WC/OC-135 aircraft. The squadron manages $50 million in support of 10million square feet of facilities dispersed over 4,027 acres.

tab55th Contracting Squadron 
The 55th Contracting Squadron provides contract and acquisition support on services, construction, and supplies for the 55th Wing and 93 associate units including U.S. Strategic Command and Air Force Weather Agency.

The squadron performs as a business advisor to customers on mission requirements. It maintains worldwide contingency contracting capability in support of national taskings. Ensures legal contractual compliance and promotes positive small business opportunities. In October 2004, the squadron began supporting Defense Technical Information Center, the premier provider of DoD technical information. The squadron has increased annual dollars obligated from $156 million in fiscal year 2002 to $602 million in fiscal year 2005, with an overall acquisition portfolio of $7.5 billion.
tab55th Logistics Readiness Flight 
The members of the 55th Logistics Readiness Flight provide aggressive training, persistent leadership, and total involvement for over 41,000 combined personnel from the 55th Wing, Headquarters Air Force Weather Agency, U.S. Strategic Command, and other tenant units, ensuring 100% wartime ready status. 

They also oversee the status of over 700 deployable combat capabilities daily. Their primary focus is enhancing wartime posture through planning, coordinating, and deploying wing resources to any theater of operations with the right amount of assets at the right time, the first time, error free. 

Additionally, Logistics Readiness orchestrates the timely deployment, employment, and re-deployment of numerous reconnaissance missions including support personnel and equipment.
