55th Wing Shield

The 55th Wing is the host unit at Offutt Air Force Base. Its mission is to provide dominant Information Warfare forces through
Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Information Operations, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications
to the Joint Forces and national leadership, any time, any place. As a warfighting unit, the Fightin’ Fifty-Fifth executes all five of the Air Force’s core missions
and is comprised of more than 7,800 personnel organized into six groups operating at six different geographic locations around the globe.

55th Communications Group

Mission: An integrated team of innovative, resilient, and mission-ready Airmen, advancing Nuclear Deterrence Operations, Cyberspace Operations, and the Air Force core missions.

Vision: The 55th Communications group develops mission-ready Airmen to enable Nuclear Command and Control, Aircraft Generation, and Information Warfare by conducting cyberspace operations for the 55th Wing and Offutt AFB while delivering combat capabilities to the warfighter.

The 55th Electronic Combat Group out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., provides combat-ready EC-130H Compass Call aircraft, crews, maintenance and operational support to combatant commanders.

55th Maintenance Squadron

The 55th Maintenance Squadron is a professional team maintaining combat-ready aircraft, equipment and munitions for the 55th Wing's mission.

55th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

The 55th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron is a group of 700 military and contractor technicians dedicated to providing mission capable intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and national command and control aircraft and deployment teams to 12 squadrons in six countries.

55th Medical Group

The 55th Medical Group supports the 55th Wing, USSTRATCOM, 557th Weather Wing and Team Offutt, providing medical and dental services for more than 27,000 enrolled patients with extensive outpatient clinic capabilities and ancillary support. Additionally, the 55 MDG supports more than 45,000 TRICARE beneficiaries in the greater Omaha area.

Clinic hours are 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.  The clinic is closed after 12 p.m. on the third Thursday each month for readiness training.

The 55th Mission Support Group provides vital mission support for Offutt AFB through engineering, security, mission support, services, supply, transportation, contracting & deployment readiness programs. 

55th Operations Group

55th Operations Group shield

The 55th Operations Group, ACC’s largest group, has operational control over 11 squadrons and two detachments worldwide.  The Group consists of approximately 2,900 personnel and currently employs 27 aircraft comprised of 5 variants of the WC, TC, & RC-135 aircraft.
