Several Team Offutt units and professional organizations have committed to the base pride initiative, a program designed to offset adjustments made after reductions in funding for ground maintenance. Frequent visitors to the Offutt Parade Field may have noticed the addition of new sign posts indicating which organizations are responsible for upkeep in that area. The historic grounds are just one locale, of many, where units and private organizations have stepped up to assist.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. to noon in the park on Rising View Blvd., for the first of two Free Little Libraries, like the one pictured above, located in the base-housing area. The second library will be located in the Wherry housing area in “the Bowl.”
