OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. -- Brig. Gen. James Jones, 55th Wing commander, steps forward to speak to students, faculty and honored guests at Patriot Elementary School Nov. 11. In a formal ceremony with General Jones as the guest speaker, Patriot Elementary School was officially dedicated to those who serve and who have served the United States and the local community as a whole. The ceremony also included several patriotic songs from the school choir, two award-winning speeches about the meaning of the word "patriot" and the recognition of several veterans with ties to the school district.
