Fightin’ Fifty-Fifth unveils War Hawks logo

The 55th Wing leadership team looks on as Col. Michael Manion, 55th Wing commander, officially unveils the War Hawks during a staff meeting at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. on Jan. 25. Soon after taking command Manion challenged his staff to come up with a nickname for the wing and the War Hawks name was chosen due to an adversary calling the unit, "imperialist war hawks running amuck."
