The Offutt Advisory Council is scheduled to host the annual Appreciation Day Picnic June 1, 2018, from 11:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. at the Base Lake.

For more than 20 years now the OAC has coordinated the free event with support from the entire community.

“I’m very excited to attend my first OAC Appreciation Day Picnic,” said Col. Michael Manion, 55th Wing commander. “The OAC’s support of this event is known throughout the service and all of us stationed here are very thankful for their unwavering support of Team Offutt and our mission here.”

All Offutt Personnel and families are invited to attend the Appreciation Day Picnic including Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, civilians and contractors.

This event is free of charge to those with base access.  There will be food, drinks, children’s rides, and prizes along with live entertainment from the Heartland of America Band.

Shuttle services have been improved for this year’s event. Along with pickups at dormitory and U.S. Strategic Command’s parking lot shuttles will run from parking areas to the festivities.

Raffles and prizes will be drawn throughout the day and multiple prizes will be up for grabs.

“I hope everyone comes out, brings family and enjoys the local community support for Team Offutt,” said Manion.

Everyone is encouraged to carpool or use the shuttle bus.

No coolers, backpacks or pets will be allowed into the event.
